Another good performance by Cockerham with great effort and determination. Cockerham played all the football in the first half but were caught on the counter attack twice and found themselves two down at half time. Alex Law was moved up to striker to try and get the team creating shooting chances in the final third. Cockerham got a goal back through David meadows but lacked the quality in certain areas to make the teamwork reap the rewards it deserved. Tom Procter was awarded man of the match for a fantastic performance.

An excellent performance by the team. conceeding two goals from corners, the lads were unlucky not to get on the score sheet. Cockerham had the lions share of the ball and created some good opportunities to score against a team sitting in second place in the league . Alex Law was awarded Man of The match for an Outstanding Debut in the team.

It was a good day for a game of football. Unfortunately not for the Cockerham side. Although the boys worked hard most of the time they simply gave the ball away too many times and failed to regain possession. The back 3 of Tom, David and George tried to keep the attackers out of the box but were caught out by the forwards movement off the ball. The ball occasionally got through to the forwards Owen, Taylor, Sam and Matthew who tried to make something out of these few oppotunities but again lost the ball. Aaron the busiest player on our team again saved a much greater scoreline by coming off the line to challenge the forwards. His efforts gave him the team man of the match
The half time brief was to move about, have some energy, pass to the reds, and don't let the blues get the ball. The guys did have more energy.
The boys did seem to enjoy the game and it was a nice outing.

A disappointing cup exit at the hands of well organised but not invincible team. I suggest that if a team loses 11-0 to another team we still need to believe that we can win this match. If we master the fundamental skills in training and stick to a game plan with the most effort you can apply I promise you you will win more matches than you lose.
